The past Veteran’s Day, a group of seventh and eighth graders from St. Isidore Catholic School in Bloomingdale, IL, joined Hearthwood for a moving ceremony with our community’s veterans.
Young and young-at-heart alike gathered in our auditorium, where the school students gave personal thanks to those who served, as well as a commemorative pin and door sign to display. Fifty veterans attended the event, with a combined total of more than 160 years of service.
The afternoon was filled with heartfelt moments, live music, and meaningful conversations.
